Crescent moons were a common and classic symbol of the Victorian era, however, we have never come across one with a blooming flower in the center!
The garnets were cut, placed, and set so beautifully to create the tapered effect from the tips of the crescent, through the body of the moon. The garnets have that rich, deep red that is bold and Victorian era perfect!
The setting is a gold toned plated metal, and when observing in the sunlight, some slight age appropriate wear can be seen on the back side of the piece. The overall condition of the pin, the bar, and the clasp is exceptional, given it's age. Just lovely from all angles!
